Animals advocate groups are tend to gain attention for all the wrong reasons. There have been infamous incidents of the CEO of Kentucky Friend Chicken being attacked by animal rights groups for the treatments chickens get before being turned into the famous original recipe. PETA representatives have also gained notoriety for spray painting or tossing paint on to suspected fur wearers, especially celebrities who wear fur. The reality however is that there are animal rights groups doing a lot of good and it’s time they got some notice.

Two such animals rights groups are the Humane Society of the United States and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. These groups have a purpose strictly in the interests of the welfare and protection of animals. They conduct speaking engagements and promote campaigns to make the public aware or overpopulation as well as cruelty to animals that the public can help to protect against.

Unfortunately, many animals are simply abandoned. There isn’t much stopping someone with a cruel heart from opening their front door and letting these animals roam free if they so wish. Some animals have an instance to survive for a while but living life without a home is simply not an option for many domesticated animals. That’s why groups like the human society exist so they may shelter and feed animals that otherwise have no place to go. Organizations such as these are not radical in any way. They simply care about animals and know that if they aren’t there to lend a hand, then its likely no one else will be either.

Finally, there are also groups who act in the interest of endangered species. For various reasons, the numbers for some animals have dwindled and it’s only animal rights groups who will act on their behalf.
